Jane’s Carousel

This historic carousel restored by Jane Walentas is scheduled to be moved to it’s final resting place at the Brooklyn Bridge Park this summer to a pavilion designed by Pritzker winning architect Jean Nouvel. Walentas painstakingly restored the carousel over the last 20 years, and it is the first carousel to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places. I’ve seen it in person, although I haven’t had a chance to ride it yet, and Jane’s Carousel is truly spectacular.
